An Air France flight operating from Bordeaux to Paris has declared an emergency, squawking code 7700 just after departure.
Air France flight AF7441, an Airbus A320-200 bound for Paris Charles De Gaulle (CDG), declared an emergency shortly after departure and is currently returning to Bordeaux.
Having declared an emergency in the early stages of the climb after departure from Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport (BOD), the flight has expedited a return to the departure airport.
The nature of the emergency is not yet known.

Having expedited a descent and return, Air France flight AF7441, originally bound for Paris (CDG), has now landed Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport.

Air France flight AF7441 had made an on-time departure from Bordeaux (BOD) this morning at 06:13 local time. The aircraft intercepted course and climbed to 10,000 feet before declaring an emergency.. Flight crew squawked transponder code 7700 at 06:31 local time.
Flight crew terminated the climb procedure and began an immediate descent and direct return to Bordeaux. The nature of the emergency prompting the expedited return is still not known.
The aircraft conducting this morning’s AF7441 service to Paris is an Airbus A320-200, registered F-GKXO. This is a 16.6 year old narrowbody aircraft belonging to the French national carrier Air France.
Named ‘Bayonne,’ it has been in operational service with the airline since its initial delivery from the factory in March 2008
