An Air France flight operating from Ezeiza to Paris has declared an emergency whilst outbound and is currently on diversion to Rio De Janeiro.
Air France flight AF471, a Boeing 787-9 from Ezeiza, was outbound for Paris Charles De Gaulle when flight declared an emergency with squawk code 7700. The flight is currently diverting to Rio De Janeiro.

Having declared an emergency whilst in cruising flight, Air France flight AF471 has expedited a diversion to Rio de Janeiro/Galeão International Airport (GIG) where it has now landed.
The nature of the emergency prompting the sudden diversion is not yet known.
Flight data shows that Air France flight AF471 made a departure out of Ezeiza International Airport (EZE) at 00:24 local time. The flight then set course normally for Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport (CDG). It had climbed to cruising level FL350 (35,000 feet) before flight crew squawked transponder code 7700 at 06:05 UTC.
Having passed to the east of the Brazilian coast on flight plan track, flight crew then carried out a diversion to nearby Rio de Janeiro/Galeão International Airport.
The aircraft conducting today’s AF471 long haul service to Paris CDG was a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, registered F-HRBI. This is a 5.3 year old widebody aircraft belonging to the French national carrier Air France.
It has been in operational service with the airline since its initial delivery from the factory in May 2019.
