Air Canada is set to expand its summer 2025 offerings with new seasonal routes and increased capacity across Europe, Asia, and the United States. The expansion brings further opportunities for travelers seeking wider international options.

The airline introduces several new routes, including Montreal to Naples and Porto, Toronto to Prague and Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago), and Ottawa to London. These additions significantly broaden Air Canada’s global reach.

Expanded Summer 2025 Network

“We’re expanding our summer 2025 destination network significantly,” says Mark Galardo, Executive Vice-President of Revenue and Network Planning at Air Canada. “Our Toronto and Montreal hubs will serve as gateways to Europe and North Africa, offering over 100,000 weekly seats to 30 destinations during peak summer season.”

European Network

Travelers can now explore new regions in Southern Europe.  Montreal will connect to Naples, the gateway to the Amalfi Coast, and Porto with its access to the Douro Valley.

The airline is also bringing back popular routes, including Toronto to Prague and Ottawa to London-Heathrow. It will also see a year-round service to Port of Spain.

The Summer 2025 schedule features significant enhancements to major European connections. Passengers will enjoy up to three daily flights to both Rome and Athens, providing flexible scheduling options for Mediterranean travel.

Service between Toronto and Stockholm will increase to up to four weekly flights, while Toronto-Madrid connections will operate daily.

Paris-bound travelers will benefit from upgraded service using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, offering up to 1,300 daily seats across three daily flights.

Montreal’s connection to Casablanca will see a notable 17% increase from Summer 2024, operating daily flights to meet growing demand.

U.S. Route Expansion

Air Canada continues to be the largest carrier serving the Transborder market and will offer customers more than 200 daily flights to over 45 destinations in Summer 2025.

The airline’s U.S. network continues to grow with several exciting new routes. Travelers from Vancouver will gain direct access to Nashville’s vibrant music scene, while Montreal adds convenient service to Cincinnati.

Toronto strengthens its U.S. presence with exclusive non-stop service to Jacksonville, offering the only direct connection between Canada and this Florida destination.

“Our U.S. service will reach 160,000 weekly seats next summer,” Galardo explains. “These routes offer convenient connections to our international network, plus time-saving U.S. customs pre-clearance for returning travelers.”

From Toronto, passengers will benefit from additional daily flights to four key U.S. destinations: Indianapolis, Boston, Tampa, and Dallas-Fort Worth. These increased frequencies provide more flexibility for both business and leisure travelers.

Montreal’s U.S. connections are also receiving significant upgrades. The airport will now offer additional daily service to Denver, Nashville, and Raleigh-Durham, strengthening links to these important markets.

Additionally, Tampa service from Montreal will see a notable improvement, moving from three weekly flights to daily service in summer 2025, providing more consistent access to this popular Florida destination.

Pacific Region

Air Canada will also bolster capacity in Summer 2025 to key Asian markets.

The airline will bring back its popular seasonal routes from Montreal to Seoul and Toronto to Osaka, using the advanced Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. These routes, which first launched in Summer 2024, provide convenient non-stop options for travelers between North America’s East Coast and Asia-Pacific.

Summary

European and North African destinations will see more than 100,000 weekly seats, while U.S. routes will offer over 160,000 seats. This expansion creates unprecedented opportunities for travelers to explore destinations on both sides of the Atlantic.

“Our global network connects people across six continents, and we’re excited to offer these enhanced travel options for Summer 2025,” says Mark Galardo.

Air Canada’s network now spans more than 145 destinations across six continents. Through partnerships with over 150 air and intermodal carriers, travelers can enjoy seamless connections from cities like Vancouver to Stockholm or Halifax to Athens.

Within Canada, Air Canada leads the market with an extensive domestic network, offering 600 daily flights to 50 airports and more than 75,000 daily seats.
