Air Arabia Maroc A320: Hydraulic Failure at Tangier

An Air Arabia Maroc A320-200 arriving from Paris (CDG) conducted a missed approach at Tangiers (TNG) after a hydraulic failure on 29 June.

An Air Arabia Maroc flight arriving from Paris executed a go around at Tangier, Morocco after crew detected a hydraulic failure during the approach on 29 June 2024.

Air Arabia Maroc flight 3O364, an Airbus A320-200, had arrived at Tangier from Paris Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG).

The aircraft was conducting an approach to RWY 28 Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport (TNG). During the initial approach, flight crew detected a green hydraulic failure.

A go around was then conducted from the finals leg and the aircraft was positioned in a holding pattern in close proximity to the airport.

Having conducted troubleshooting checks, the operating crew then conducted a second approach and landed on RWY 28 without further incident.

The landing was made just under 30 minutes after the initial missed approach procedure was conducted.

Flight Details

Flight data shows that a flight 3O364 made an on-time departure from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). This was logged as 1526 local time on 29 June.

The flight then set course normally, climbing to flight level FL390 (39,000 feet) for the south westerly service to Morocco.

Descent and initial approach procedures were similarly conducted normally. The flight then initiated a go around procedure from approximately 800 feet on final approach to RWY 28.

The aircraft conducting the 3O364 rotation to Tangier (TNG) was an Airbus A320-200, registered CN-NMQ.

This is a 10.4-year-old narrowbody aircraft belonging to the carrier Air Arabia Maroc. It has been in operational service with the carrier since October 2022.

Prior to its service with the airline it was operated by parent airline Air Arabia since its initial delivery from the factory in February 2014.
