An Air Arabia Maroc Airbus A320-200 operating from Tangier, Morocco to Barcelona, Spain was forced to divert due to a bird strike on 16 August 2024.
Air Arabia Maroc flight 3O377, an Airbus A320-200 bound for Barcelona El Prat Airport had just departed Tangier-Ibn Battouta Intl. Airport (TNG). As the aircraft was conducting the climb it suffered a bird strike.

Following the incident, flight crew terminated the climb procedure and then entered a holding pattern. After a brief period of holding, the operating crew decided to divert the aircraft to Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport (CMN).
The flight subsequently landed at the diversion airport approximately one hour after its initial departure from Tangier. A replacement aircraft was mustered to complete the scheduled service to Barcelona.

Flight data shows that flight 3O377 made an on-time departure out of Tangier-Ibn Battouta Intl. Airport at 0622 local time on 16 August.
Flight crew then terminated the climb procedure at 10,000 feet and entered a holding pattern of the coast to the east of Tangier.
Following a brief period of holding, flight crew then initiated a direct track to Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport, landing on RWY35R without further incident.
The aircraft conducting the 3O377 service to Barcelona was an Airbus A320-200, registered CN-NMH. You this is a 12.3-year-old narrowbody aircraft belonging to the carrier Air Arabia Maroc. It has been in operational service with the airline since its initial delivery in May 2012.
Air Arabia Maroc is a Moroccan low-cost airline that was established in 2009 as a joint venture between various Moroccan investors and the UAE-based Air Arabia.
It’s based in Casablanca and serves both domestic and international destinations, primarily across Europe and the Middle East.
