Aer Lingus Regional Expands Cork Flights to Glasgow & Bristol

Aer Lingus Regional, operated by Emerald Airlines, has announced an expansion in Bristol flights as well as the launch of Glasgow too.

Aer Lingus Regional, operated by Emerald Airlines, has announced an expansion in Bristol flights as well as the launch of Glasgow too from Cork.

Information has been released by the airline, which includes the timetable and number of flights to be operated.

Bristol & Glasgow: The Expansion from Aer Lingus Regional in Cork…


Aer Lingus Regional, operated by Emerald Airlines, has announced an expansion in Bristol flights as well as the launch of Glasgow too.

Aer Lingus will expand flights to Bristol (BRS) and they will also launch services to Glasgow (GLA) as well from Cork (ORK).

For the ORK flights, the carrier will operate the following scheduling:

  • Departs Cork – 10:35 – Arrives Glasgow – 12:15 – Monday, Thursday, Friday & Sunday
  • Departs Glasgow – 08:25 – Arrives Cork – 10:05 – Monday, Thursday, Friday & Sunday

As for the BRS flights, Aer Lingus Regional will be adding 20,000 more seats due to “growing demand from passengers”.

Commenting on the expansion of flights from Cork, which includes the new Glasgow route and the expanded Bristol route was Ian Lough, Head of Commercial at Emerald Airlines:

“We are delighted to be expanding our network from Cork Airport with the introduction of our new Glasgow service.”

“We are equally pleased to announce the increase in flights between Cork and Bristol. These enhancements underscore our commitment to providing our customers with more travel options and greater convenience.”

“By expanding our offerings from Cork, we aim to meet the growing customer demand and ensure our passengers have even more opportunities when travelling from Cork Airport.”

In conclusion, this represents strong news for Aer Lingus Regional with the new flights to Glasgow and expanded flights for Bristol from Cork.

Looking ahead, all eyes will be on how the new GLA flights perform with the carrier.

If they prove to be successful, then there could be scope to expand those flights, like how they are doing with the BRS route.
