As per @Shauns_Aviation & @JackMcVey1 on X, it is understood the reason for the emergency was due to disruptive passengers fighting onboard.
TOUCHDOWN!
TOUCHDOWN! Aer Lingus flight EI738 from Dublin to Palma de Mallorca has appeared to have touched down safely into Nantes following it’s emergency broadcast not too long ago.
Furthermore, the cause of the 7700 broadcast is unknown at this time.
As soon as we have more information pertinent to this, then we will update you accordingly.
For now, this remains a developing story pending additional updates as they come in.

EI738 is nearing Nantes Airport, passing through 4,000 feet, on what looks like will be a straight-in approach into the airfield.
Tracking North Now: Nantes-bound?
EI738 is now tracking northbound in the direction of Nantes at FL70.
Nearest Airport in the Area Would be La Rochelle…
EI738 is descending through FL80-90, with the aircraft heading in the direction of La Rochelle, a potential diversion field.
Furthermore, Nantes is also in reach of the aircraft as well. Diversion field will be confirmed in due course.

As per Planespotters, EI-GAL is a 15.5 year old Airbus A320ceo that originally started out life with Aeroflot in February 2009 as VQ-BAZ.
Furthermore, the aircraft was handed over to the Irish carrier in May 2017, where it has been since.
