7 People Injured on Scoot Flight Between Singapore & Guangzhou

Information has emerged regarding a Scoot flight last weekend between Singapore and Guangzhou where seven people were injured onboard.

Furthermore, such details have been released regarding this accident, which we will get into in this article.

Scoot Flight TR100 – Singapore to Guangzhou…


Information has emerged regarding a Scoot flight last weekend between Singapore and Guangzhou where seven people were injured onboard.

Scoot flight TR100, where seven people were injured onboard, was a routine scheduled flight between Singapore and Guangzhou.

Furthermore, the aircraft involved in the incident was 9V-OJI.

As per data from Planespotters.net, 9V-OJI is a 5.4 year old Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner that was delivered to the airline back in April 2019.

Moreover, of the 787-9 variant, Scoot has 10 of them in their fleet.

Of that 10, all of them are in active service, with an average fleet age of 8.0 years.

As well as the 787-9, the Singaporean carrier has the following other aircraft in their mainline fleet:

  • 21 Airbus A320s.
  • 9 Airbus A321s.
  • 11 Boeing 787-8s.
  • 2 Embraer E190-E2s.

Scoot flight TR100, where seven people were injured onboard, departed Singapore at 0627 local time on September 7, bound for Guangzhou.

As per The Aviation Herald, it is understood that the flight encountered turbulence, which injured four passengers and three crew members.

Despite this, the crew onboard opted to continue to destination, where they landed safely without further incident at 1023 local time.

It is understood that 9V-OJI, the Scoot Boeing 787 involved in the turbulence event which injured 7 people onboard TR100 Singapore-Guangzhou suffered no damage.

Evidence that substantiated this point was the fact the aircraft continued back to Singapore.

Furthermore, it is understood that one passenger was taken to hospital, with the others treated at the airport.
